Roger Federer - US Open Day 6

Roger Federer (SUI) [1] follows through against Lleyton Hewitt (AUS) [31] in a third round match on Day 6 of the 2009 US Open.

Roger Federer was not at his dominating best for sure, dropping his first set of the tournament and facing 14 break points in the match against a very familiar foe in Lleyton Hewitt.

The world No. 1 and five-time defending champion committed 59 unforced errors (to go with 51 winners) and converted just 54 percent of his first serves. But as he usually does, Federer found another gear when he needed it and found a way to win 4-6, 6-3, 7-5, 6-4 and advance to the fourth round of the 2009 US Open.
